原帖正文 Elon Musk’s mother says she would rather sleep in his garage than in a five-star hotel. She is 77 and she has done it.She flew to Texas to visit him. They landed around midnight, and Elon went straight to bed.His security team told her they had a lovely room for her at a hotel 45 minutes away. She said no. She had come to see her son, not a hotel.She asked for a couch. There was no couch. There was a single bed in the garage.She opened the door, looked at it and said, this one is mine.She later posted about it. No food in the fridge. One towel in the shower, so she left it for Elon. She wrote that she was fine with it, because as a child she spent 3 weeks in the Kalahari Desert without a shower, and her parents had prepared her for this kind of luxury.On stage in India she was asked how the richest man on earth could put his mother in a garage.She said it was her choice. She has slept in a family garage before, and she would rather be close to her kids than stay in a five-star hotel and not see them.Later in the same interview she said the media attacked Elon over the garage story.
